The Africa Journal of Evangelical Theology (AJET) is a leading peer-reviewed scholarly journal dedicated to advancing theological scholarship, biblical studies, Christian ministry, and contextual reflection on Christianity in Africa. Formerly published as the East Africa Journal of Theology (EAJT), the journal has earned a strong reputation as a trusted platform for rigorous academic research addressing theological, social, cultural, and missional issues facing the African Church and society.
Published twice each year by Scott Christian University, Machakos, Kenya, AJET provides an international forum for scholars, researchers, church leaders, and practitioners committed to enriching evangelical theological discourse from an African perspective while engaging with global scholarship.

Peer Review Process
Every manuscript submitted to AJET undergoes a rigorous double-blind peer review process. Independent reviewers evaluate submissions based on originality, academic quality, methodological rigor, significance, and relevance. Editorial decisions are based solely on scholarly merit.
Publication History
Originally established as the East Africa Journal of Theology (EAJT), the journal later adopted the name Africa Journal of Evangelical Theology (AJET) to reflect its expanding continental vision and readership.
AJET was published in print for many years before transitioning to an online publishing platform, increasing the visibility, accessibility, and preservation of its scholarly publications.
Indexing and Abstracting
AJET has previously been indexed in the ATLA Religion Database, with coverage extending through 2018. The Editorial Board continues to pursue inclusion in additional international indexing and abstracting services to enhance the journal's global visibility and scholarly impact.
Copyright and Licensing
Authors retain copyright of their published work while granting AJET the right of first publication. Articles may be shared and cited with appropriate acknowledgement in accordance with the journal's licensing policy.
